‘THIS IS NO CASUAL DRIVE’

SPEED announced today that it will bring back Bullrun, the popular cross-country amateur road rally program hosted by former pro wrestler and self-admitted car fanatic Bill Goldberg, for a second prime time season on the network.

“We knew early last year that we wanted another season of Bullrun on SPEED,” said SPEED SVP of Programming Steve Craddock. “All the elements which made the series work last season have been elevated. The improved challenges, great locations, interesting teams with a variety of vehicles and a twist in the rules will provide viewers a series which delivers adrenaline and action in every episode. This is no casual drive. The viewers will be in the car with the teams facing tension, suspense and the challenge of beating the competition for $200,000 in cash and prizes.”

SPEED has ordered 10 one-hour episodes produced and delivered in 720p HD, with season premiere scheduled for February 2010.

The 2010 season premiere of Bullrun will be made available through advanced screening via SPEED’s 38-million-household cable, satellite and telco VOD distribution platform. Bullrun also will be featured on an updated SPEEDtv.com mini-site with new team bios, behind-the-scenes clips, live chats and a new Bullrun community section.
