Welcome to the new SPEED.com!

We’ve spent most of the last year talking with — and more importantly, listening to — SPEED.com users about what they liked and didn’t like in websites, especially this one.

The end result is what you see here, a totally redesigned SPEED.com that’s cleaner, simpler, easier to navigate and faster to load. In short, a website designed to be more intuitive and user-friendly.

SPEED.com still has all the text, photos and videos we’ve always had — it’s just easier to get to and find now. Gone is the clutter and the 10-pounds-of-news-in-a-five-pound-box look. Everything has been greatly streamlined and cleaned up.

We’ve kept the format the same in terms of sections: There is the homepage and individual sections or hubs for NASCAR, Formula One, Auto Racing, Moto Racing, Cars and Bikes. Within each section, there are news stories, columns from our Voices of Speed contributors, comprehensive statistics, schedules, photos and videos.

On the front of the home page is a new section called SPEED Central, which is designed to be an easy entry point to other sections of the website.

The “Latest Headlines” section has been enlarged to allow more headlines on the page at one time, and now can be filtered by section, including our television listings.

Our Voices of Speed area now contains convenient toggle buttons to allow you to cycle through your favorite columnists.

In addition, we’ve added a new area called “Hot Topics,” which features a selection of stories from across the Web, as well as Tweets, photos, videos and related topics.

As with any project, what you see here isn’t the finished product, it’s the starting point. From here, we will continue to build SPEED.com into the best destination site for racing, automotive and motorcycle enthusiasts everywhere.

To reach that lofty goal, we will need to continue to receive your feedback. Let us know what you like about the site and what else you’d like to see by leaving a comment at www.speedtv.com/feedback.

Thanks for your continued support and hope you like the new site!

Best,
