Earlier this year David Hobbs and Steve Matchett shot material for the 1967 Spa: All-American Victory show. This show highlighted Dan Gurney’s victory in the All-American Eagle Weslake, a car of his own design. Gurney’s victory is the only time an American has won a Formula One race in a car the he designed.

The show was not as much about Gurney’s achievement as it was about the car. Beautifully preserved at the Revs Institute in Naples, FL the Eagle Weslake is the most significant car in the history of the United States’ involvement in Formula One racing.

If you watched the show you got a close up look at Gurney’s car, but there was plenty of footage that was left on the cutting room floor. Some of it is funny, some of it is merely an enhancement of the footage that made it in to the program.

We hope that you will find these “deleted scenes” and “outtakes” entertaining.
