HOT CARS, FAST TRUCKS FROM SIN CITY; BOWYER SET TO VISIT NASCAR RACEDAY AND TRACKSIDE

TRUCKS IN SIN CITY: The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series rounds out its summer stretch with Saturday’s race from Las Vegas Motor Speedway. SPEED’s live coverage of the race begins Saturday at 9:30 p.m. ET. Rick Allen, Phil Parsons and Michael Waltrip will call the race with Adam Alexander and Ray Dunlap reporting from the pits.

BARRETT-JACKSON LAS VEGAS: Before the Truck Series takes the green flag about 20 miles down the road at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, cars of all kinds will be the focus at this year’s Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Collector Car Event and “no reserve” auction from the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. SPEED has expanded its live broadcast of Barrett-Jackson to 22 hours, beginning Thursday, Sept. 23 at 4 p.m. ET with seven hours of coverage.

Anchoring the broadcast are Bob Varsha, the Voice of Formula One on SPEED, and Matt Stone, the Senior Editor of Motor Trend and Editor of Motor Trend Classics magazines. On the auction block, car enthusiast and Voice of NASCAR on FOX, Mike Joy, is joined by leading muscle car expert and freelance writer, Steve Magnante. Barrett-Jackson veteran Rick DeBruhl and former professional racer and car nut, Justin Bell, provide auction color and fantasy bid previews.

SPEED’s live coverage from Barrett-Jackson continues Friday from 4-11 p.m. ET and Saturday from 2-9:30 p.m. ET, leading directly into the network’s live coverage of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race from Las Vegas. Former Truck Series champions Ron Hornaday and Mike Skinner will attend Barrett-Jackson Friday prior to heading over to the race track, and a feature on their adventures will air during SPEED’s Truck Series broadcast Saturday evening.

FORMULA ONE: SPEED kicks off its weekend coverage of Formula One from Singapore with live coverage of practice Friday at 9:30 a.m. ET. Live coverage of qualifying is slated for Saturday at 10 a.m. ET with live race coverage beginning Sunday at 7:30 a.m. ET.

As an added feature to this week’s Formula One coverage, SPEED.com will stream live coverage of the first practice session Friday at 6 a.m. ET.

SADLER VS. THE INTIMIDATOR: The final episode of the SPEED prime time series Intersections airs Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET and will feature a comparison between a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car and the new high-speed rollercoaster named after the late Dale Earnhardt – “The Intimidator.” Intersections takes two seemingly different speed machines and compares the similarities, as well as offering intimate looks at the people who operate them.

TWO WHEELING IT: The network presents same-day coverage of AMA Pro Racing from Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Ala., Saturday at midnight ET and Sunday at 1 a.m. ET. Same-day coverage from Birmingham continues Sunday at midnight ET and Monday at 1 a.m. ET.

BOWYER ON TRACKSIDE: Krista Voda hosts alongside Larry McReynolds, Jeff Hammond and Elliott Sadler as the panel welcomes Kasey Kahne and Clint Bowyer. Trackside airs Friday at 11 p.m. ET.

NASCAR RACEDAY: NASCAR RaceDay Built by The Home Depot (Sunday at 10 a.m. ET) from Dover takes a look at how The Monster Mile might scare some Chase contenders, as well as whose Chase chances might be up and who faces a championship crisis. NASCAR RaceDay also features a live interview with Clint Bowyer, as well as the following drivers:

FIM WORLD SUPERBIKE: SPEED offers same-day coverage of FIM World Superbike from Italy Sunday at 4 p.m. ET and 5 p.m. ET.

RACE TRACK CUISINE: In Saturday’s episode of The Racing Chef (7 a.m. ET), Chef Nicky Morse visits with David Reutimann, who whips up his favorite corn on the cob recipe, while SPEED host John Roberts stops by the kitchen to make French Toast Cake.
