Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was the fastest in the first practice session for the NASCAR Nationwide Series O'Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway with a top speed of 179.611 MPH.

The top five included series points leader Elliott Sadler, Paul Menard, Kasey Kahne, and Joey Logano.

Danica Patrick was 11th in the session.

Another round of practice will take place at 11 am ET Friday with qualifying at 5pm ET.
