The Barwa Addax GP2 team have issued a statement denying that they have any plans to enter Formula 1 in the 2010 season.
Formerly known as the Campos Racing team, who clinched the 2008 teams' championship, and are currently leading the 2009 drivers' and teams' standings courtesy of Romain Grosjean and Vitaly Petrov. With the FIA's plans to introduced a budget-capped formula next season there has been speculation surrounding several of the leading GP2 teams potentially entering F1.
However, Addax issued a statement on Thursday to reiterate their commitment to the GP2 Series, and confirming that they currently have no plans in place to pursue an F1 entry.

With reference to news printed in various press media sources, including the F1 specialist website, motorsport.com, Barwa Addax Team, successor to the previous Barwa Campos Team project, would like to make the following statement:
The Barwa Addax team, which is currently taking part in the GP2 series, does not have, at this moment in time, the intention of presenting any project to compete in the 2010 Formula 1 World Championship. With this, Barwa Addax hopes to avoid any misinterpretation concerning this point and would also like to make it clear that they are not involved in any project of this kind.
Alejandro Agag, the present and sole owner of the team, declared: “Barwa Addax Team is the reigning team champions from last season and is currently leading this year´s 2009 championship in both team and drivers rankings. Our main objective is to work hard and make a conscious effort to emulate these successes in the GP2 series”.
