Michael Schumacher's future role with Scuderia Ferrari remains uncertain – and will continue to be for a while, the seven-time world champion admitted.

The German has been tipped to take over some form of managerial position with the team since retiring from driving after last year's Brazilian Grand Prix, but no further clarifications have been made since then.

"It's not a very clear definition made to my role in Ferrari
so far, simply for the fact that I don't want it to be," he said during a golf tournament in Dubai.

"I'm lucky to have a team like this. They still want to involve me, they still want to use my abilities and they're happy enough to leave it up to me where I want to be involved and where not, so with time that will develop."

Last week, Schumacher made a return to driving of sorts when he tested a go-kart for Italian manufacturer Tony Karts.
