F1: Button Cracks Ribs in Go-Kart Shunt

Honda has revealed that Jenson Button recently suffered two hairline cracks to the ribs in a karting incident

Possibly in an effort to counter any speculation that he had been indulging in any unapproved Montoya-style off-duty shenanigans the team said that the injury occurred "in a karting test scheduled as part of his winter preparation."

Button will now miss the first winter test at Barcelona next week, where Honda will run Bridgestone tires for the first time. Rubens Barrichello will attend, along with new tester Christian Klien and fourth man James Rossiter.

Yesterday Button attended a Honda Racing Thank You Day at the Motegi circuit, attended by some 26,000 Honda customers invited to a special celebration
of Honda's motorsport participation.
