Adrian Newey says that Red Bull Racing has to regain ground lost to Renault since the teams introduced their update packages in Spain.
Over the first three races RBR was clearly ahead of its engine supplier, a scenario which provided a good indication of how well the team was doing with the RB4.

“We’re happy with the start of the season. The whole season has been very tight grids, and as you saw in Spain, especially in the little group that we’re in with Renault, Toyota, Williams and Honda now stepping in, if they find a little bit of performance, then suddenly you slip back. Obviously our goal is to get out of that, but it’s the same for everybody.
“We had some new parts on for Spain, and they seemed to work OK. We’ve got the usual things coming, mainly aero parts. I wouldn’t want to say what or where, apart from the usual Canada wings and that sort of thing.”
