F1: Vettel Storms To Pole In Hungary

After leading both of Friday's Formula One practices and running second quickest in P3 Saturday morning, RBR's Sebastian Vettel stormed to his seventh pole of the season in Saturday's decisive Q3 round of knockout qualifying.

Vettel, who led Q1 but trailed teammate Mark Webber in Q2, reassumed the top spot when it counted with a lap of 1:18:773.

Webber, who led final practice in Hungary, qualified second (1:19:184) to complete a Red Bull sweep of the front row.

Red Bull, which has dominated all weekend so far at the Hungaroring, has now won the pole in 11 of 12 qualifying attempts this season.

"It wasn't my day today," said Webber, who leads Formula One with three victories in 2010.

Fernando Alonso, Felipe Massa and points leader Lewis Hamilton completed the top five.

Notably absent from the final Q3 round was two former World Champions - Jenson Button and Michael Schumacher.

Defending World Champ Button was the first driver to miss the cut, qualifying 11th in his McLaren.

Seven-time World Champion Schumacher clocked in a disappointing 14th in his Mercedes.

Qualifying concludes Saturday's on-track activities for Formula One in Hungary. Action resumes with the Hungarian Grand Prix, which will be televised live on SPEED beginning at 7:30 a.m. ET Sunday.
