Sebastian Vettel paced Saturday's third and final practice at Buddh International Circuit, completing a rare 1-2-3 sweep in leading all three sessions ahead of Formula One qualifying.
After improving on his chart-topping P1 time with an ever quicker lap in P2, Vettel recorded his quickest lap yet in P3 with a time of 1:25:842 that was nearly two tenths clear of second-place Jenson Button's time of 1:26:034.
Vettel's Red Bull teammate, Mark Webber, clocked in third, followed by Lewis Hamilton's McLaren and Kimi Raikkonen's Lotus.
Filling out the reminder of the top 10: Bruno Senna, Fernando Alonso, Nico Hulkenberg, Michael Schumacher and Romain Grosjean.
Webber's Red Bull RB8 went for a harmless spin in the final corner with 14 minutes remaining in the one-hour session.
Vettel, who will start Sunday's Indian GP carrying the momentum of three straight wins, leads the standings over Alonso by six points with four races left to settle the 2012 World Championship. The two former champs have combined for seven victories this season.
