F1: Russian Money Chasing Super Aguri?
Participation of team in '08 season remains in doubt.

The latest rumors concerning a potential investor at Super Aguri suggest that a Russian consortium is now in the frame, SPEEDtv.com can reveal.

It’s not known who is behind it, although former Force India owners Midland are not thought to be involved.

An Indian approach that involves A1GP franchisee The Spice Group appears to have taken a back seat for now.

Super Aguri is 100% owned by its founder, former F1 driver Aguri Suzuki. However it is clear that the team urgently needs an injection of funding in order to survive. Max Mosley recently hinted that he thought the team might struggle to finish the season, and possibly even fail to make the start.

The team has not yet officially confirmed its drivers, and the place of Anthony Davidson seems to be in doubt.
