The Mercedes issued artwork of the new MGP W02 today, having given the German newspaper Bild – often favored in the past by the manufacturer – first access to the image.

The head-on picture doesn’t give too much away, other than showing that the car has a very different airbox/rollhoop arrangement and possibly a higher nose. The front wing in this image appears to be from last year.

The picture also confirms that the car has a new silver livery with less of a matte finish, while the Petronas signage is now white on turquoise. And it has Pirelli stickers!

The real car will be unveiled in the Valencia pit lane on Tuesday morning.
