Nick Heidfeld says driving in F1 with Mercedes GP in 2010 would be a "dream" but denies that a deal is already done.

It is rumored the 32-year-old veteran is at the front of the queue to form a German 'super team' alongside confirmed 2010 Mercedes driver and countryman Nico Rosberg.

Heidfeld was quoted in Wednesday's Sport Bild weekly as saying the seat would be "every driver's dream" but insisted that no contracts have been signed.

"I am in promising talks with several teams and confident of driving for a competitive racing team next season," he told the German news agency DPA.

Heidfeld, who made his debut with Prost as a 22-year-old in 2000 and has raced with BMW's works team for the past four seasons, is yet to win a Grand Prix
