Lewis Hamilton's going out party at McLaren continues to take on a rather festive tone.
Competing for the final time this weekend with the team where he's spent his entire Formula One career, Hamilton remained atop the leader board in Free Practice Two at Interlagos after also leading Friday's opening practice.
Hamilton, who is moving to Mercedes in 2013, paced the second 90-minute P2 session over the same man he edged in P1 — Sebastian Vettel.
While Hamilton is hoping to finish his McLaren tenure with a win, Vettel's target this weekend is bigger: a third straight World Championship, which the German can clinch by finishing fourth or better in Sunday's Brazilian GP.
Hamiton's McLaren led Vettel's Red Bull by .274 in P2, with Mark Webber, Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso filling out the top five.
Alonso, who ran fifth in both Friday practices, trails Vettel by 13 points and is the only other driver still mathematically alive in the title hunt.
Alonso could finish as low as third in Brazil and win the title if Vettel finished outside the points, but such a scenario seems unlikely.
Vettel hasn't even failed to finish on the podium since the Italian GP at Monza in early September.
