Italian F3 racer Eddie Cheever will test a 2010 Ferrari F10 at Vallelunga on November 9 – some 35 years after his famous father undertook a similar test, also by coincidence when he was 19 years old.

The annual F3 graduate test, a joint venture between the ACI-CSAI and the Ferrari Driver Academy, is offered to the top two drivers in the Italian championship.

Cheever said: “This is a dream come true, and I hope that everything will go in the best possible way. Being on a Ferrari 35 years after my dad is an unforgettable emotion, let's hope to go as fast as he did back then.”

Cheever will be joined by 18-year-old Riccardo Agostini from the Italian series, and EuroSeries F3 champion Daniel Juncadella.
