It’s been a busy Tuesday morning in Jerez with nine 2012 F1 cars in action, several of them turning a wheel for the time.

They included the Ferrari F2012 and the Red Bull RB8, driven respectively by Felipe Massa and Mark Webber. The latter did not appear until three hours into the session as the team was waiting for parts to arrive from the UK.

Also running for the first time was the Caterham CTR01 and the Williams FW34, in the hands of Heikki Kovalainen and Pastor Maldonado.

In addition, Jenson Button gave the McLaren MP4-27 its first public outing after it was shaken down in a straightline test by Oliver Turvey at Idiada in Spain on Saturday.

Kimi Raikkonen, Kamui Kobayashi and Paul Di Resta put more miles on the Lotus, Sauber and Force India, all of which had been shaken down previously.

Also driving Tuesday is Nico Rosberg, in the old Mercedes, and Pedro de la Rosa, in the unsponsored 2011 HRT.
