Scuderia Toro Rosso was scheduled to debut its new STR3 car in this weekend’s Turkish Grand Prix, but will be forced to race one more time with the old STR2, autosport.com reports.
The reason for the postponement is the heavy crash suffered by Sebastien Bourdais in the new car during Barcelona testing, still in the buildup for the Spanish Grand Prix ten days ago. The chassis crashed by the former Champ Car star has been rebuilt,
Given that the race after Turkey is the tight confinements of Monaco, the race debut of the new STR3 could be delayed to as late as the Canadian GP in June.
STR enjoyed a strong debut with last year’s car, with Bourdais posting a fourth-place finish in the crash-filled Australian GP season opener.
