Adrian Sutil says that Jarno Trulli caused the spectacular collision that eliminated him from the Brazilian GP.

The stewards took no action against Sutil and most observers agreed that Sutil was the victim of the incident, which also took out Fernando Alonso. However Trulli has been extremely critical of Sutil in the media and accused him of running the Toyota off the road.

“I wasn’t aggressive,” Sutil told SPEEDtv.com. “I was really surprised that he crashed into my side. I just saw him when he was on the curbs, and I moved a little bit to give him some space, but it was anyway too late. He had to back off. He was on the curb, and a little bit on the grass already, so he had to back off and take it easy. But he was still on full power, and tried to do the impossible. He put me in a really dangerous situation.”

Trulli was fined $10,000 for remonstrating with Sutil after the crash.

“He was swearing – and trying to kill me!” Sutil said. “I tried to calm him down several times, but it was not possible to speak to him. Well, it’s his opinion. In the end I don’t really care what he thinks.

“It was a crazy race with a lot of incidents, a lot of big guys that went out. But that’s how it is. At the start Kimi Raikkonen nearly took my front wing off again. I was in a sandwich there, and he just slammed the door. I thought, what’s going on here?”

“Somewhere is the limit. You have to back off. I don’t know where he wanted to go. He was really aggressive at the start I have to say, which is OK because he lost his front wing, and I think that was fair enough. But you saw so many fights that were absolutely on the limit.”
