High up in the Himalayas, hidden behind sky-high mountain ranges, lies the small country of Ladakh.

High up in the Himalayas, hidden behind sky-high mountain ranges, lies the small country of Ladakh. Politically speaking it is part of India, but in terms of culture, history, religion, climate, and geography these two countries couldn’t be more different. For many centuries Ladakh has been almost inaccessible especially for motorcycle riders and even today you can get there only during its short summer.

The airport in Leh boosted tourism, but to really experience Ladakh you have to drive there. Or, even better, ride on a Triumph Tiger! You will meet your tour guide in Delhi and fly to Srinagar together, where you’ll pick up your motorcycle. We will leave early the next morning to explore the mountains, continuously heading northeast. The road is spectacular but tricky. Mudslides and rock falls frequently damage or block it.

Though it climbs to more than 13,120 ft, you can still see mighty, snow-covered peaks towering above and all around you. This tour takes you to an extreme environment. You may suffer from lack of oxygen. You may get burned by the intense sun. You may be sore from hauling your bike along rocky trails all day. You may or may not like the nights we spend camping outside. We don’t know, but what we do know is that you will love Ladakh and never, ever forget this trip.
