The sixth round of the 2013 AMSOIL Arenacross, featuring Ricky Carmichael’s Road to Supercross, season will serve as another historic moment for the sport as the second live broadcast in history will be shown exclusively on SPEED tonight, beginning at 9:30 p.m. ET. The final night of action from Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and Mohegan Sun Arena will be made even more exciting with the addition of Ricky Carmichael, who will be making a special appearance this weekend.
With only one night remaining before the start of the inaugural Race to the Championship, tonight’s action from Wilkes-Barre will hold major significance for the group of riders still fighting for their spot inside the top 10 in the standings. With just one night remaining for the sixth round, tonight’s two Main Events will pay highly coveted points towards securing a position in the Race to the Championship. Fans will have the opportunity to watch tonight’s final chance for riders to race their way into the season-ending showdown as it happens on SPEED.
As the namesake for the new Road to Supercross program, Carmichael has become AMSOIL Arenacross’ newest fan. The former five-time Monster Energy Supercross Champion has developed a true appreciation for the talent of the riders in AMSOIL Arenacross and is highly impressed with the exceptional competition in the championship. After making his debut appearance in Tulsa just a couple weeks ago, Carmichael is back to spend some time with the riders and teams, and most importantly the die hard fans of AMSOIL Arenacross. There’s no telling what surprises the rider affectionately known as The GOAT (Greatest of All Time) has in store for the Wilkes-Barre crowd.
Tonight’s action inside Mohegan Sun Arena kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET. Live broadcast coverage will air exclusively on SPEED, beginning at 9:30 p.m. ET.
